Ability to define a color scheme/theme to the rendererd code

It would be helpful to be able to select a color scheme/theme for the rendered code. This would help the code blocks stand out from the surrounding text. I seem to be unable the select a color theme for the syntax highlighting. Is this something that might be in the works?
