Support creating version from create issue screen

Just evaluating your plugin (v1.1.3 on hosted JIRA Software v 7.4.4). You might know that as a JIRA project administrator one is able to create versions from issue screens (create, view, edit) by inserting a new string into the "Fix Version/s" field and confirming the creation.

This, unfortunately is not possible with your implemented "Manage versions" permission. Would you be able to adapt the implementation and provide this feature?

It would really increase the benefit of the plugin.

I am sorry. I know about this feature and also there are ways to create resp. release versions from Jira Agile boards. But it is beyond possibilities of a plugin to influence these festures.

Version Manager for Jira just provides a alternative interface (user page and REST API) to create and manage versions, but it is not opening up the existing ways for non-admins.

This feature would certainly help :)

p.s. we bought the plugin and have a license if this helps - i thought i don’t need to open a support ticket if this issue is already known.

Sorry, I missed your question in Atlassian Community. Just replyed now.

I am sorry, possibility to create a new version directly when editing fixVersion is only possible if you have Administer Project permission. The Version Manager for Jira plugin cannot influence this, because edit fixVersion field is under control of standard Jira and not extendable.
