Hello!

From technical point of view Version Manager for Jira is compatible with Jira Data Center.

There is no issue because the plugin does not have state beyond request scope, there are no background tasks or anything to write or read by the plugin to or from the database etc.

I am currently in the process of official certification for Data Center by Atlassian for Version Manager for Jira.

Official Data Center compatibility certification of plugins requires proof of extensive testing.

Because of the nature of the plugin, I could agree with Atlassian, that only reduced proof of scale testing is needed.

Still this is quite some work to do. Will provide update here on further progress.

I am planning to have the plugin certified by Atlassian for Data Center available by end of the year.

From support perspective it is already supported and works perfectly fine. Quite a number of customers are already using it in Data Center environment successfully.

Dear all,

As a small vendor, I have decided to not go through the effort of Data Center certification by Atlassian. However, the Version Manager for Jira addon works perfectly fine with Jira Data Center, is fully supported from my side for Data Center and quite some customers are using it in Jira Data Center successfully. You can safely use it in Jira Data Center.

Do you have an exact date the DC version will be available on the marketplace? We have a customer who’s server license ran out but want to keep using the app without spending 200 USD on the server license for what feels a couple of days until the DC licenses are available.
