You mean that the "overlay effect" with the 3 buttons is not showing? Yes, that is a known issue and also affects mac. I also address this issue in the Manual https://enmap-box.readthedocs.io/en/latest/usr_section/usr_manual.html#linking Actually, you should be able to click in the area where a button would be visible, and then the linking works. Its solely not showing but the functionality is there.

I suggest to remove these button, as everything can be found via the map canvas context menu.
