when clicking on the button for removing an metadata item, only the value is cleaned, but the item is not removed

Metadata items with no values will be deleted from the datasource. This way it’s possible to see what has changed / which will be deleted.

If you press “apply” the table will be reloaded with all changes applied (if possible)
