Currently we can create a new *.hdr sidecar file for an existing GeoTiff raster:

This enables ENVI software to directly read the GeoTiff with proper wavelength information.

Improvement:

rename to Create ENVI Header
also enable this for ENVI files and overwrite the existing *.hdr header with proper wavelength information
