Spectral Library: delete spectra by selecting and then right click?

Issue #942 new

Could it be possible to delete a given spectrum by selecting it and then right click and select “delete”?

(the same approach for styling, at least select line, points, both, color…)

Or perhaps there is already a simple way to achieve this.

I’ve found that I have to select the button “Show Form View” to get the button “Delete Selected Features” and be able to delete a selected spectrum. I think the button “Delete Selected Features” should always be present, at least when any spectrum is selected. No reason why it should be available in the Form View mode only.

Much better though having the Delete as an option by selecting the spectrum with the right-button

@Agustin Lobo it is possible to have multiple spectral profiles per attribute table row (i.e. multiple profiles per QgsFeature). Do you like to delete (i) the profile, but not the feature, or (ii) the entire feature? (ii) is already implemented, as selected a profile in the plot will select the entire feature in the attribute table.
If the editing mode (1) is enabled, you can delete selected feature(s) with DEL or button (2). Click on on the save button (2) to save your changes or reject them (QGIS uses a transaction model).

Deleting a given profile should be possible outside the “Show Form View”, as very often I’m just exploring the image rather than collecting spectral samples. It is very easy to get the wrong profile just because clicking on the wrong pixel, so the user should be able to delete the profile simply by selecting it and either click a button or have the option in the right button.

Within the “Show Form View”, deleting selected spectra without deleting the entire feature should be possible as well. In your figure, you could have 1 or 2 spectra very different from the rest and you would want to eliminate them from the feature. Imagine you had 20 correc spectra and 1 bad spectra for a given feature: you would not be pleased having to either keeping the wrong one or delete the 20 correct ones…
