Auto-exposed movies with ISO/aperture prioritization?

Issue #1341 wontfix

On 500D, would it be possible to add an option which lets the user decide whether to prioritize ISO or aperture in auto-exposed movies? For example, in one case I might want the camera to increase ISO before opening up the aperture, and in another case the opposite might apply. Currently, the camera's logic seems a bit random: both may be adjusted in tandem when the light level changes, or any of the two may be adjusted throughout the whole range before switching to the other.

As a related note: on 500D the camera doesn't seem to obey the Min/MaxMovieAutoISO values (I assume these are meant for the newer models).

It only obeys that in manual mode. Otherwise camera does its thing. ML has no auto exposure with good autoiso and looks like at this juncture it won't.

500D did not originally have manual exposure control for video (before Magic Lantern).
