5D slightly exposure change in some video frames

Issue #1419 invalid
tomeu santandreu created an issue

Hi! everybody & thanks to Alex for developing ML. This is my first post.

Since I have instaled ML, one frame or a few consecutive frames become darker or lighter than the rest. Then everything is ok in the rest of footage in the same clip. Just noticed 3 times in about 20 minutes of footage. It happens even if ML is not running!
Sure everything is manual control when shooting!!! Never advertised this problem before installing ML.
Have uninstalled ML, reinstaled Fir 2.11 from Canon & I have made test shots for 12 minutes without problems.

I will try to do a intensive testing.

Has anybody the same issue?

Thanks.

Tomeu.

Hi Alex, thanks for your fast answer!

I Shoot the videos in manual mode for sure. I always use manual mode. As is recomended before installing ML I reset the camera to its default settings.

Not sure if I had ALO and HTP disabled because I left the default settings on the camera. But after reloading the original firm I revised both paramenters and they were disabled (because I had both disabled before Installing ML), so I suppose they were disabled by default.

Must both parameters be disabled for ML to work porperly? Once sure how the parameters must be set I will load ML again for another testing.

Many thanks for developing ML I love Focus Peaking mode!!!! ;-)

ML doesn't change the meaning of those parameters; I think you were shooting from auto movie mode (even if you were in M on the dial).

I will do more tests ensuring all cam parameters are ok.

I will verify that ML mode is set to Manual. I supose ALO and HTP should be disabled in canon menu before instaling ML. Is that true?

    Thanks.
