RAW footer not being written

Issue #1554 resolved
Former user created an issue

The RAW video footer is not being written to the file in failure cases 4GB limit. Camera shuts off due to auto off or battery. CF/SD Card at capacity.

A possible fix for this would be to move the RAW video footer to the front of the file. Write the footer when starting the recording. When the recording is stopped, go to the beginning of the file and write the footer (header) again. This will make sure that at least the frame size and speed are kept with the file. raw2dng would be able to process as many frames as are available. The number of frames and skipped frames would be helpful to have, but if you don't have the frame size and FPS, you can't do anything.

Maybe I misspoke on the 4GB file limit. Other conditions do exist that prevent the footer from being written and not just in prehistoric builds. Filling your card is the most likely cause.

When the card gets filled, the footer is saved correctly, I've checked on both 5D3 and 5D2. Next recording attempt does not save any file.
