Error 70: SoundDevice_CODEC.c

Issue #1951 duplicate
Former user created an issue

Everything works just fine, but this bug happens to occur very often (spotted it already in a Nightly Build about a month ago, but hoped it would be fixed till now). Camera shuts down (video mode), Error 70 shows up, battery needs to be removed to work again.

It appears mostly short time after starting the recording. But not everytime. Is there any option to disable audio until the bug is fixed? (I don't need audio on my current project) Thanks!

Turning off or slowing down some overlays might help. The issue has been here since when I can remember on 500D. Turning Global draw off when recording seems to fix this issue reliably. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any other workaround - maybe decreasing the video bit rate (or fps) would help if you have tuned it up. I changed CBR from the default 1x to 1.4x. It might be that the camera can't do all computations fast enough (and maybe goes out of sync with sound at some point, therefore the error?).
