Issue #2883 new
Magnus Overli created an issue

Hi!

First, I am no expert, so what I am describing could be caused by something other than ML...

I am trying to do post deflicker, by using XMP files. When I've shot a picture and hit the xmp file with exiftool, I get the following error message:

Warning: XMP format error (no closing tag for x:xmpmeta)

The complete XMP file looks like this:

<x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Magic Lantern">
 <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#">
  <rdf:Description rdf:about=""
    xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"
    xmlns:photoshop="http://ns.adobe.com/photoshop/1.0/"
    xmlns:crs="http://ns.adobe.com/camera-raw-settings/1.0/"
   photoshop:DateCreated="2050-01-01T00:00:00:00"
   photoshop:EmbeddedXMPDigest=""
   crs:ProcessVersion="6.7"
   crs:Exposure2012="+4.04628">
   <dc:subject>
    <rdf:Bag>
     <rdf:l

I am not sure what a functioning XMP file should look like, but someone here might have a better idea?

    Confirmed; broken with https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/pull-requests/838 (buffer overrun)

    Workaround: try a build older than 2017-07-01 until I'll refactor it. For existing footage, see the source code for the complete template: deflick.c:28

    I expect the UFRaw template to work just fine, as it's smaller.

    BTW, there were some proposed changes to the XMP template, but I don't use this workflow; feel free to review.
