550D - cropmarks autodetection problem on SDXC card

Issue #360 resolved
Former user created an issue

Hi folks! I need to report a bug. I've tried almost everything but cropmarks doesn't work with my 64GB SDXC card. I'm getting the msg: "cropmks (0/0): OFF" in the menu. Autodetection doesn't work. When I try my second card: 32GB SDHC - everything works brilliant. I've got the latest firmware of 550D and I'm using the latest ML upgrade from 15th Feb. Any ideas?

The problem is caused by "strstr" in "zebra.c" (line 1587). exFAT seems to be case sensitive. Rename the extension of your bitmaps to ".BMP" (capital letters) until the developers fixed this.

i changed them to .BMP but nothing works. (Actually it automatically makes them .bmp) also when i open the camera it says sth like: find_cropmarks direct=000000001

Hi, had the same problem. Changed .bmp to .BMP (working on a mac). It works. So if anyone has problems with it, try it on a mac, if possible. Sorry, I'm not paid for this ;-) Maybe linux will work as well or special windows software ?.

I'm using the latest build and having the same issue. My cards are Sandisk Extreme class 6 8gb and Transcend class 10 16gb. I get:

    cropmks (0/0) find_cropmarks direct=000000001

I tryed to change the extension, but nothing's changed. Any ideas?

Everything is fine now! I had just to put the cropmks folder, and not only the files, in the card.
