Mk2 keeps crashing on 0.1.6

Issue #80 resolved

I am not a computer geek but have managed to figure out chdk on my powershot. Now i am thrilled that I can do multi frame AEB on my 5Dmk2 because I am an HDR junkie. So I downloaded 0.1.6. I Put the files in the root directory on the CF card and followed the instructions to update the firmware. The camera goes blank and I have to yank the battery to restart. This happens both with the shipped battery and the chinese battery. Half a dozen times now and no luck. What am I doing wrong? thanks!

What Canon firmware version is installed? Only 1.1.0 is supported; other versions will cause random crashes and bad behaviour.

Ok I've loaded 1.1.0 and then loaded the ML. Seems to work, BUT Camera freezes, no way to access menus. Seeing cool live view with checkerboard grafix though. No way to scroll through menus. Using Chinese no chip battery, is this a problem? ML seems to ask "do you want to communicate with this battery?" and then makes that decision for me, and then the freeze up.

The AEB apparently does not work at least not on my Mk2. What It does is shoot a set of frames with the exact same exposure for each frame. Also camera keeps freezing up, have to dump Canon battery and re start.

I'm also experiencing a problem with 2 different cards.

    I have 1.1.0 firmware Using ML 0.1.6

When I attempt to turn off the zebra stripes or other options I lose the screen on the rear. I no longer have the ability to access the menu, turn on the video mode or even after taking a picture nothing is displayed. I tried 2 differnt memory cards and I'm open to more suggestions

If I neglect to take a picture or video for more than 60 seconds, the camera seems to lock up. Firmware 1.1.0 running ML 0.1.6 with Canon batteries. But that's almost trying to force a pattern - it just seemed to lock up every minute or so for no reason.
