001-0050 Syntax error on line 6: token newline not expected

I receive the above error when running the install command for Netcat that was provided to me by a member of my global team. here is the actual command: Install netcat : rpm --ignoreos --ignorearch --nodeps --replacepkgs -hUv <<netcat-1.10-2.aix5.1.ppc.rpm>>

this is step 6 of his instructions. All steps up to this have been completed. His instructions are sent to Garrett under the PMR 47633.L6Q.000 So they are detailed and listed within the PMR email communications to him.
