Whatsapp sticky notification icons in statusbar

FSBI is not clearing whatsapp notification icons from the statusbar even after the app is opened and messages are read. This happens mostly when whatsapp is closed and two or more groups receive messages simultaneously. I could be happening in some other conditions too. At times, there are more than 2 whatsapp notification icons stuck in the statusbar. Only a reboot clears them.
