A user in one of our internal projects complained that, since switching to Gazebo9 from Gazebo8, the ccmake interface was full of unrelated and confusing variables.

Apparently, the problem was due to a few CMake cache libraries that are used in the ign-cmake find scripts, but that were not properly marked as advanced.

To clarify, does this mean that variables which get set in a find-module are automatically put into the cache by cmake? Is there any cmake documentation to refer to that explains this behavior? That would be useful to have as a future reference.
