Mp3 File can be messed up if interrupted whilst saving

If you interrupt whilst saving mp3 it will be interuppted because using Interuptible channels which is good so save can be cancelled quickly, but are we properly protected to ensure file is left untouched ?

For most formats we write to a new file and then swap files if was successful

No longer relevant, have moved away from files so potentially any format could be corrupted if cancelled whilst saving
