Get-History Does Not Work in Interactive Window
For VS Community 2017 v. 15.9.13, | PoshTools v. 4.7.1 (not Pro) | $PSVersionTable output at end
The standard PowerShell cmdlet Get-History does not work in the PowerShell Interactive Window--it just returns a blank line. The up and down arrows do, however, run up and down the command history stack.
\$MaximumHistoryCount gives the default 4096 and (Get-PSReadlineOption).HistorySavePath gives the default C:\Users\[UserID]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell\PSReadline\PowerShell Tools for Visual Studio Host_history.txt
This file is not, however, updated (I think it is a vestige from prior use of Windows PowerShell ISE).
Under Windows PowerShell ISE, Get-History works as expected.
