Change the minimal temporal length to hours

Issue #10 new

Hi @Andreas Janz

Just another idea for a future version, to include hours as the minimal temporal length. We have some hourly collections on GEE that work perfectly in GEETimeseriesExplorer, but they are not showed hourly in temporal profile plot

Thank you very much!

Best regards!

Oh, wasn’t aware of hourly data 🙂

    1. I think the profile plotting should be easy to fix.
    2. Not so sure about the temporal binning. Currently, everything works on Dates, not so sure how easy it will be to enable Datetimes.

It seems to me that, although temporal binning is limited to days, the statistics are correctly applied to hourly datasets. For instance if I choose 1 day of hourly data (24 records), the daily min/max/etc are correctly applied by the plugin. But if I have more than one day of data, as the minimum increment is 1 day, I cannot have daily metrics, because they are calculated for 2 days, except for the last day of the data interval.

So, in general I believe it can be done with almost the current logic, but “say” is easier than “do”! 😁
