DNSExit DDNS IP Updater Client / Home

DNSExit.com DDNS IP Updater Client V 1.0 README

This is a Windows DDNS IP Update client for DNSExit.com, DNSExit.com has no responsibility on the application. The Default Client downloaded from DNSExit.com is not working for Windows 7. Thats Why We had to create a new client for Windows.

Once configured, The Service runs automatically in the background. After User login,and automatically updates the IP address for the configured domain name

Limitation: You can only update one domain at a time Supports, Windows XP, Windows 7 and Vista

Binary INSTALL

Run dnsexit_ip_update_client_1.0.exe and install with Administrative Privileges

You have to configure the the application with DNSExit.com credentials first. Goto

StartMenu > Zsenda Technologies > DNSExitDDNSClient

and update UserName, Password, Update Interval and HostName. Save the Settings.

Run The program Again and click 'Yes' in the Dialog Box.

Now on the Program Works on Every Boot after User Login

Source Compilation

Requirements
*   Python 2.6 or 2.7
*   pyinstaller 1.3
*   NSIS Installer
*   NSIS ExecTimeout Plugin

To Compile EXE, Go to pyinstaller and Run or use (python setup2.py py2exe //Dont use py2exe to generate exe)

python Makespec dnsexit.py
  • edit spec file insert version,icon,console status
python Build.py dnsexit\dnsexit.spec
  • Copy the exe file from dist folder to the dist folder here
python Makespec dnsexitload.py
  • edit spec file insert version,icon,console status
python Build.py dnsexitload\dnsexitload.spec
  • Copy the exe file from dist folder to the dist folder here

After the EXE Compilation, copy the dnsexit.exe and dnsexitload.exe to 'dist' folder and overwrite Run setup_script.nsi and get new setup exe
