Focus issue, possibly

Issue #1035 invalid

Hi guys,

Ever since I updated to 6.1-6.2 beta my fightstick has stopped functioning correctly. Basically what happens is:

Start emulator, play for a little bit, no problem. Suddenly, the joystick stops working, buttons are fine. I replug the controller, it works again. Suddenly, the joystick stops working. I have once regained control over the fightstick and could continue to play, but all other times I've had to replug the USB cable for the games to pick it up. It works JUST fine in BigBox when I exit the game. Humm.

For the record, the joystick picks up as a regular Xbox 360 controller so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue. Plus, it's worked really well before. So I dunno. :|

Today when this happened I paused the game and started pressing buttons and moving the joystick, when I quit the game, to my big surprise, BigBox had scaled into oblivion. All the text was huge and the images went off screen/cropped.

That leads me to believe that BigBox might be trying to take control of something? I don't know. Let me know if I can debug or something in some way. I'll try and play a game while logging. Just let me know how I do it, lol.

Resolving this as I figured out the issue. I am quite sorry, it was not BigBox. It was my PCB inside the fightstick, I had just updated it and Brook (The manufacturer) has just released a new firmware for damage control. Apparently they used a stupid method of implementing a new feature to software switch between dpad/left-/right stick on the joystick. So a given combo would switch to another setting hence rendering the stick useless in games that only uses d-pad.

Also, I think BigBox had issues with scaling back to 1080 after I played on the PS1 emulator on a lower res. It kept being bigger. At least that's the conclusion to that after I fixed a resolution mistake in the emulator. So these two issues are not related, BigBox doesn't scale but that could be an issue with my monitor not communicating correctly to the GPU. I won't ask you to look into this.

Sorry, and thanks for your time.
