Feature Request: Select "Sets" to launch Big Box with.

Issue #1296 new
Lark Tepes created an issue

I have a large collection of games and roms on my living room PC that I want to be able to see and pick from for my use in launch box, but I use Big Box mode for my family to see and easily pick out what looks like fun. I wish I could select what games and systems show up in Big Box mode. If I could have "Sets" of games or maybe have User profiles like Netflix I could set it up so kids can't see games that might be a bit mature or just be boring for them, or just have it so I can have a Set that is the "best of blank system" for easier navigation.

Hi Justin, the best way to do this currently is to "hide" games that you don't want displayed in Big Box. That way you can set LaunchBox to show Hidden games but Big Box to hide them.

Hide games is indeed a good option. However, i like the idea of having the option to create different profiles. That way each member of your family for example has their own theme, views, favorites etc. even some sort of Parental Control? Off course it needs an option to auto login or disable profiles if you are the only one using it. Is this doable?

Hi Aeron, long term I think absolutely. I'm in agreement that it would be really nice. So we'll leave this ticket here. :)
