Alphabetical subcategorys under platforms

A way to display only roms starting with specific letters. #-z Subcategory's under each platform. For example clicking the main platform name would display all roms in that platform like usual, However clicking a '+' beside the main game platform would expand the list to display additional directory's # to Z & clicking a letter would display only roms starting with that letter. For large collections this would be great. The option to split collections alphabetically

Well i was mainly thinking about it for launchbox but it would be great in bigbox too. Its not really about jumping around alphabeticaly but more about displaying only the games starting with a specific letter. Lettered Subcategories under each platform. It would be so much better than having to add individualy split folders myself. That would make my platform list huge if i added lettered folders as custom platforms. It would speed up things alot i think especially with large collections rather than scrolling through 3000 odd roms in one platform

I would like to see something like this for large system libraries like NES MAME so when you opened nes you would only see 27 options a-z and a folder 0-9 for games with numbers or symbols in the title making it much easier to compartmentalize you stuff for better efficiency. This is actually how I keep most of my folders structured and I'm so anal I have a folder on my server with the 27 already named empty folders in case I need to start a new set real quick. @Derek Smith. Give File Sieve a try mate. It will automatically create all those folders & move your files into them for you based on the start letter. You can also have it create folders based on the first word of the file name too. Invaluable little proggy!

Thank you solo, are you thinking of this for LaunchBox or Big Box? Big Box will already let you jump around with an alphabetic index.
