Retroarch 1.3.6 Dualshock 4 setup

Issue #1332 new
William Libby created an issue

I have been having a horrible time trying to setup the DS4 controller in retroarch for each core. First off I tried to follow your tutorial on controller setup, but for some reason 1.2.2 and 1.3.6 are different in the menu. There is no settings option in the list on 1.3.6 which is where I got hung up. How can I configure my DS4 for each core in 1.3.6? I have the necessary drivers and I'm using Xpadder as a mapper. I haven't mapped any keys on it yet because I'm still trying to figure that out that as well. I think it would be a huge help to me as well as others out there if you could give us another updated tutorial on how to configure the DS4 for 1.3.6 that doesn't have the settings option for each core. Also I just wanted to know if you know why the DS4 drivers don't allow you to use analog on the sticks? I'm currently using Windows 10 32bit.

This is a question for the retroarch forums, not the launch box bug report form.

With that said have a look at this thread with questions i had about controllers on the RA forum, got some good answers at the end of the thread: http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6458

Short version: use autoconf. for the controllers. Open RA - Set up your controller -> save autoconf. Clear bindings -> Close and open RA

If you have no luck on the RA forums, post your question in the emulation category on the launchbox forums:
