Launchbox/BigBox controller mapping

Hi, I installed the Premium edition as I could not get my USB Controller to work with Future Pinball. They (there are two x zero-delay boards) work fine with MAME. So here is the issue. After getting the licence installed, Future Pinball is not working with Launchbox. However, if I run BigBox, the buttons mapped to the controller in Future Pinball now work? Also, to complicate matters, I am using an LCD screen in portrait mode. Works fine in Launchbox, but as soon as I select a platform in BigBox, the screen fonts are huge and are cutoff so I cannot read the options.
