big box won't work for me

hi, big fan of the software, thanks for your work. I hope this reaches the right person, I've never submitted a bug report to you guys before.

anyway, one issue i continue to run into for quite some time now is my inability to launch big box successfully. task manager confirms that it's running, but my screen gives no indication that the program launched. It could be an issue on my end, as due to unrelated problems i've had to use a high-contrast display setting, not sure if that could have an effect. anyway, thanks again for your work, i hope to hear back soon.

  • i'm using version 6.9 beta 3
  • windows 10
  • issue occurs every time i launch for quite a while
  • issue occurs when launching big box mode
  • now quite sure how i'd find this information, as when i attempt to launch big box, the standard launchbox window closes, however big box never properly launches and must be closed via task manager to close it.

p.s. i selected "major" in pertinence to the priority of bug i'm reporting, only reason being that if this is an issue plaguing more computers than my own, i'd probably consider that a major issue. though i hope this is a simple problem on my end.

    Hi there astro! Unfortunately, the problem is very hard to pinpoint. You can ry reinstalling DirectX, and try installing the latest version of the .NET framework. I know there are situations where DirectX will get messed up beyond repair with some windows installations. Sorry, that is not much help. Let us know if you get any more info on this problem, such as error codes. Thanks so much! We'll try to get this figured out!
