Ability to launch a program or game from top level menu
I would like the ability to launch a program such as a Jukebox app from the top level menu in Big Box.

bump... would love to see this so i can launch a windows app (Jukebox) without 3x button presses and screens

Bump Again. Can also use to launch directly into steam big picture mode... or pretty much any other exe.

I would love to have this feature. I'd like to add convenient shortcuts to certain apps in the top level menu of Big Box, and then allow for selecting emulators in one of the platforms or a submenu.

This is one of the features that would sink me into a yearly purchase, hell even donations

It would be great to launch apps like Kodi right from the platform view. I've been adding Movies which looks great in big box, but as soon as I added TV shows with about 24 episodes in each season, it got looking a little messy (DVD rips of course)

This feature can go a long way for starting apps quickly in Big Box!

Gonna bump this once more!

Hi, id also like to see this feature.
-
Add me to this--tried to use a plugin as work around but it isn’t playing nice for me for some reason.
-
Add me also - seems like this would be a simple add to allow a Platform to launch a file or script on selection.
-
This isn’t the most strait forward work around, but this plugin will allow for what this ticket is asking.

I’ve tried the plugin…doesnt work for me. A better solution would be to add the capabilities to launch a file or script on platform selection.

That plugin does work for me but with some caveats. The creator is amazing and troubleshot with me a ton. Basically, I have to be a little patient when navigating the menu and let it load fully. Then I’m able to for instance launch steam directly from the platform.
