Built in Jukebox

Issue #1604 new
Former user created an issue

Give LaunchBox a the native ability to play music, music videos and karaoke media by implementing a Jukebox that can be turned on/off via settings (so people who aren't interested in it can have it hidden)

The jukebox could have a simple interface but should support keyboard/controllers for Bigbox and arcades. maybe provide the ability to map buttons to main actions.

Assets are added to the jukebox as if it was a system. Assets are displayed as if they were roms with cover art and metadata (optional wizard to retrieve metadata?). it should have the ability to tag and have a visual representation (eg icon or border colour) for an asset tagged as an audio only, video or karaoke asset.

Would be great to have the ability to skin the jukebox, although may be limited due to the complexity of the UI

suggested inspiration for functionality and UI: EasyJuke looks very simple, straight to the point and great functionality https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LaAYB8kOj4

for video assets have a button that allows fullscreen mode for audio assets the fullscreen mode displays metadata including album cover art. the use of the joystick could cycle through different full-screen modes for audio-only media. such as: * Metadata (default) * visual equaliser * interactive game that generates levels based on the music, such as: Audiosurf, Beat Hazard, Symphony https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--5cyMP2eTE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGJawrW9XJI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-I2wyNNTPA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm5t0WlGLgE

more example avaiable here: http://store.steampowered.com/recommended/morelike/app/12900/ would be great if any of these developers could create a version of their game that integrates with launchbox instead of creating one from scratch
