I noticed that this option is on launchbox but not in bigbox, it is a very useful option for people like me that has many versions of the same game and the file names are very informative.

Yeah, this is a huge feature when working with complete sets that contain multiple revisions of the same game, from the same region. Without knowing the filename, you can't know which is the one you would like to play.
