I would really like to be able to combine filters -
e.g. [Platform]=Windows, [Date Added]=This Week, [Installed]=Yes
and have the ability to click these as saved queries in the left or top toolbars.

Would love the ability to save filters so that you can access a pre-defined list. This would allow me to create a quick way to toggle on/off showing only Favorites for a given platform.

Auto-generated playlists should make what you two are trying to do possible already.

This is ancient, and we already completed it ages ago using auto-populate playlists.

Respectfully I do have to disagree on this. Playlists is not the same as Favorites…and I would have to question why Favorites exist if pushing everyone to Playlists. The “problem” this creates is that it can and will clutter up a clean interface. I currently have a list of 23 systems in my list, all named according to the console (Atari 2600, Super Nintendo, Sega Dreamcast, etc). If I create just 1 playlist for each system containing all my favorite games per system, I’m now doubling the main menu in Big Box. This immediately clutters up the interface, defeating the one thing I REALLY like about Launchbox…the simplistic and accessible interface. Ideally, there should be a quick/easy to way to toggle on/off viewing Favorites.
For example, I’m still using HyperSpin on my arcade cabinets. When I want to consolidate my 1500+ MAME list down to a couple hundred, I hit one button and select “View Favorites”…done. See this video for example - HyperSpin Favorites - YouTube
It really should be as simple as this. I see why Playlists exist, but it’s not a replacement for Favorites. You have a really good Favorites system in place, at least in regards to marking them, but please provide an equally easy way to view them.

reporter Hi Ned, this ticket was not originally created for a Favorites system like that. Feel free to create another ticket for it.
