Being able to edit metadata directly in the List view would be tremendously helpful to manage local database. Maybe an "Advance List view" feature with inline editing, sorting, grouping, filtering ... and also allowing to choose what column to display and save as custom views.

There are a few other requests that would enhance the List view tremendously: - #210 + Being able to view images or images filename with a mouse over function displaying images in popup - ~~#502~~ + Better sorting option and or combine sorting (sort by system first then by title ...) - #516 + Choose what column/metadata to display and be able to save as a custom view

If you have used SharePoint before, you would know what I'm talking about. The Worksheet inline editing capability in a custom view is exactly what I am after.
