Scan for added ROMs

This new feature misses the option to add roms based on folder names. I can't use this feature without this option because all my roms are located in seperate folders, and the roms names are not proper.

I assume Jason understands what the OP means by this, but I figured I'd expand.

The "Scan for Added Roms" action doesn't seem to pick up new roms unless you're using the "portable" install where Launchbox moves all roms to a folder within Launchbox. If you're simply managing the roms in their original folders, no new additions are found.

The only way I can add new roms is if I use the "Import>add roms" dialogue, which while still easy enough, isn't as easy as simply hitting that scan for new roms option.

You can change the folder it searches in each platform's settings. Tools->Manage Platforms. Click edit for each platform, and change the "Game" folder in the "Folders" tab to your rom folder for that platform.

Yeah, I saw that, although I don't believe it works even after setting that folder correctly. I'll have to try again when I get home to verify. I'll edit this comment if I find any new.

Edit: Ok, apparently I had some stragglers and those were the ones I was trying to re-scan. Working as intended. Although it'd be helpful if the "games" folder defaulted to the first chosen "Scan" directory instead of having us manually select it for each platform, as easy as that might be.
