Can't deselect game anymore with video playing in 7.0

in <=6.12 i could always go into a LB (not BB) platform , single click a gamer to see the video play on the right and the screenshots. Then if I wanted the right bar with video and screenshots to go away, I would just single click on the platform name again from the left side and it would deselect any game that was highlighted and return to the state as though i first navigated to this platform. so, it seems you can't do that in 7.0. clicking the platform on the left when a game is selected has no effect anymore and the video keeps playing.
