Emulator settings lost when renaming emulator (auto-population bug)
Issue #2254
new
All of an emulator's settings are lost / set default when an existing emulator is renamed to a pre-defined name. I don't think editing an existing emulator should cause auto-population, it should only occur when adding a new emulator.
Steps to reproduce:
- Edit an existing emulator ("ePSXe" is used in this example)
- Rename the emulator ("ePSXe (Hi-Def)") and hit OK
- Edit the renamed emulator
- Change the name to a pre-defined emulator name ("ePSXe")
- Auto-population occurs, wiping out emulator path, custom command-line, and other settings.
Workaround:
The issue can be worked around by manually editing Emulators.xml with the new emulator name.
Tested on:
- LaunchBox 7.4
- Windows 10 64-bit
