Make Launchbox controller navigation better

I love the idea of using my xbox controller as a mouse to navigate and use my LB interface, but it is quite bad crossing between the platform list and the game pane like crazy. Often you end up getting frozen or stuck because the pointer jumps over to the platform list and changes platform while you think you are still in the games area. I tried my Steam Controller Companion to drive the LB interface and is AWESOME working just like a mouse and even has a keyboard popout for entering text in the search filter, BUT I can't use this tool in LB because then I will get two pointers in different locations, one from CC and one from LB. I can't disable the controller in LB or I won't be able to exit out of some emulators and games without controller automation. I WISH I could just disable the LB controller navigation but not LB controller automation so I could use Steam CC. But even better would be to just have LB make controller navigation better, more like Steam CC.
