LaunchBox settings freeze; BigBox booting and closing issues

I am using LaunchBox 7.6 on Windows 10.

Hey Jason, I've encountered some interesting bugs with the newest version of LaunchBox. For some reason, I cannot access my LaunchBox settings anymore, it just hangs there when I try to open the settings. It usually loads up in a couple seconds.

Also, I'm having problems with BigBox not booting up at all, it just keeps repeating my startup video a bunch of times. I only have around 200 games right now, it should boot right up after the startup video like it always does. But when I reboot my PC, it seems to fix it, but then BigBox sometimes hangs in the background when I "close" it. I tried deleting my LaunchBox and BigBox settings, it worked for a bit, but then the same issues started happening again. I'm not sure if its some setting that's causing it or not.

Hi Luke, of course I'm having trouble reproducing this stuff, even with your data folder. I'm hoping you can try some things for me to help narrow it down:

• Try installing to a new folder and see if you get the same issues with a new installation (don't copy your data folder over, at least at first to see if the data could be the issue)

• Try starting Big Box without the startup video feature

• Try turning off the Big Box "hide taskbar" option; I can help you do this directly in the XML if you need

• Try the latest beta that I'm going to put out in an hour or two (I fixed some unrelated things, so who knows)

When I tried to reproduce the bugs today, it worked just fine! I opened and closed bigbox several times, and had no problem. Even my LaunchBox settings load up just fine. This is the weirdest thing to ever happen with this.

Its like it has a mind of its own or something, first it took 6 minutes to load up BigBox, now it loads up right away after the startup video like its supposed to. Even the LaunchBox settings are opening up right away, it used to take around 2 minutes for it to load.

But I think I will update to the beta and start my collection over to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Hi Luke, how's it been going with the latest betas? Have you experienced any of these issues lately?

I've experience one issue, but it was just more of a hiccup. Big Box took around 2 minutes to load when I only had 36 games. But when I reloaded it a second time, it loaded up quickly like it normally does. It's very strange.
