Controller automation on a per system (or emulator) basis

Hi, it would be fantastic if the controller automation (to quit the emulator) was on a per-emulator or system basis as an option. The reason being that I use multiple controllers depending on the system (ie an Xbox One controller for most, but an 8Bit-do controller for Snes games and an arcade stick for arcade game). The button numbers are different for each and since I can exit Retroarch with built in commands, the automation gets in the way when I switch controllers.

It's a great feature though and I do need it for emulators that don't let you elegantly switch so it would be an awesome addition if possible.
