Big Box incompatible with 165hz monitors

To keep this message brief, I'll just say that after some experimentation as to why Big Box freezes on start up, I found the issue to be with the refresh rate of 165hz. On the same monitor, I've tried 60hz, 120hz, and 144hz. All of which Big Box ran perfectly on.
Likely not a major issue for the large majority of the Launchbox userbase but it is a rather bothersome issue for me.
-Launchbox Version 7.7
-Windows 10 64bit Pro
-Occurs without fail.
-Use a monitor that supports 165hz and boot up Big Box.
-None. Just locks up computer until you crt+alt+delete then shut down Bigbox program.
