(BETA) Manual playlist population doesn't work

I've been trying out the 7.8 beta (release 10), mainly the "auto-populated playlists" feature, which seems to work fine. Unfortunately, I seem to have stumbled upon a really nasty bug: I've tried to manually add a few games to one of the playlists through the pop-up menu (Add to Playlist > [name of playlist]) and, whilst it did show a pop-up window every time saying that a game was added to the playlist, when I go and check the playlist in question, they're not there at all. I've checked the other playlists to make sure that I didn't misplace those games by accident. I found nothing that could've helped me understand this failure.

These playlists were already auto-populated, so maybe there are some crossed wires in the code?
