'Scan for added roms' does not find new roms

Issue #2730 new
Tom W created an issue

Hi,

I found a rom that was not scraping properly. Upon investigation I found that the rom was named incorrectly. I have renamed the rom to solve the root issue, but now LB does not import it via 'Tools' > 'Scan for added roms'. I have tried scanning for removed roms to no avail. I originally tried to 'scan for removed roms' and then 'scan for added roms' but that did not work. I have also tried restarting LB.

I am new to LB, so I can provide any files with a bit of direction (I had a poke around the LB install directory + %AppData% folder but couldn't find any log files).

Win10 x64 LB 7.7

(on a side note, if I scan for added roms for all systems the popup to say no new roms were found is displayed instantly, which doesn't seem right for 16 systems/13.5k roms)

Thanks

Turns out that if not copying roms to the LB folder when initially importing (I select the third option, keep roms where they are) you need to manually update the rom locations via tools > manage platforms > system > folders.

Still think this is a issue as the folder location should be updated if selecting the option to not keep your roms in the LB folder.

it is indeed an issue, it should lookup any folders that were previously assigned and scan them for added roms.

Also, on this: if I want to scan for added roms, and I have a duplicate game but with a different region, it won't import this.

Is this the correct behaviour? It'd be great if it checked filenames in their entirety, rather than the estimated title (minus the region).
