Launch emulators with special config files based on detected controllers

I use launch box on an arcade, but I also like having the ability to plug in different controllers for different systems. Most emulators have config files for mapping controllers, but it would also be great if launch box could specify the config file to load depending on what controllers are plugged in.

For example, if I plug in a SNES controller, then retroarch should be loaded with a SNES config file. If it's not plugged in, then it would default to the standard device (I'm on an arcade, so this means the arcade stick and buttons for me).
