Artwork issues

Issue #290 invalid
RATCASTHD created an issue

So I started off by adding 1000 roms to launchbox followed the instructions and away it went downloading all the art work and fan art, once finished none of the art work on any game was displayed but in the edit game section of each game it had found the game name and pointed it to the, thegamesdb.net website where the artwork was. tried again with one game and having the same issues. made this after being told to on twitter :) thanks

    Hi Unknown, thanks. You mentioned that the artwork wasn't showing up on TheGamesDB? What games are they? Are the images in your LaunchBox\Images folder?

    well all of my sega megadrive game did not display and the few snes ones I added. ive looked in the launchbox images folder and no art work but it said it downloaded artwork. also thegamesdb site is just not showing anything for me ive added a photo of it, what im getting for all games on that sitelaunchbox.jpg

    Hmm, I wonder if TheGamesDB is having issues right now. Seems weird that none of the games would have art...what the heck. But if the images aren't in your images folder, then no images were downloaded. But it sounds like LaunchBox was trying to download images...so...weird...

    Oh wait, see that "Please Delete (Merged with Genesis)"? That might be a clue. What platform are you using for your games?

    Sure, try changing the platform to Sega Genesis instead. Even though it's not the same thing, it looks like TheGamesDB is messed up for MegaDrive maybe. Give that a shot.

    so ive reset my system, refreshed images and nothing some from wiki are working and its finding them just not from the site, could it be to do with add blocker or security setting I have on my system for why its not picking them up off your website? as thats the only thing I can now think of lol

    Wow, that is really, really strange. But that explains why they're not working for you. I'd try disabling all anti-virus and firewall apps one by one to see what's doing it. (And then probably uninstall the culprit because I wouldn't trust it).

    So i just turned of Kaspersky my anti virus, and your site is now showing images and launchbox is now finding art work lol how crazy is that!! my pc was locked up haha gives me a video to make as well haha :) my launchbox is now looking goo :) one more question do you have any evaluation copies for youtubers to review mate ? would love to make a serious on this as its now going to be my main front end, just removed hyperspin lol anyway let me know
