Autodownload and autoconfig Emulators

Issue #294 new
Psico Lock created an issue

Autodownload suggested emulators and autoconfiguration at least on ALT+F4 hotkeys, resolution and joypad config. Every emulator has a .ini file and it´s easy to target and edit the hotkey to exit i think on mame that have esc by default or other like bluemsx. I know that is messy for all but at least a bunch of prefered emulators like retroarch and mame may be nice to autodownload and configurate the basics like controller(xbox 360 pad defaults). I know about another emulator launcher named emucenter2 that do this think.

The only issue I have with autodownload is that some emulators come with addware/malware even from the original source, the most recent case was Project64, sourceforge has some problems with addware too. How could this be prevented? Another option could be some sort of autoupdate process for emulators, althought this should be user triggered because sometimes new updates can mess with save files and config files. I will create an issue proposing that.

Thanks, Oscar, makes sense. Unfortunately this isn't something we can tackle soon, but a great idea for the long haul.

@jasondavidcarr , maybe you could start only with a retroarch delivered with bundled cores as a proof of concept, it have the best support for multiple platforms, and add the others in the long haul. The idea is to do in the more easy way for the user, adding roms, autodownloading suggested emulator or choose other and import the games.

@Max Payne, i only could remember this example, we could ignore project64 if it is the case.
