black flash then back to main menu

I downloaded your software to try out for my new arcade system. I am having issues to get it to work. I have mame installed went thru the configuration and setup

When i get to the screen where the games are showing. I double click on the games to start it. I just get a black screen that lasts for half a sec and it goes back to the main screen

Any idea what could be wrong?
