Big Box is laggy or crashes on startup

7.10 on windows 10

Every time i start big box , it either crashes or gets very lagy intermittently. not sure why but this happens often.

I have several emulators including MAME dolphin 5 and others all updated to the latest version. When scrolling through games it lags tremendously and eventually crashes.
