Too Many Options - UX Overload

This is personal feedback and opinion based.

Launchbox is confusing. As a new user interested in finding out what the application can do, I'm immediately met with an overwhelming amount of customizability and options. This may be brilliant for some. But I downloaded Launchbox so I could play emulated games, in a single, pretty library with as little hassle as possible.

Big Box may be better suited to me. But from the desktop interface, I'm concerned that I'm opening myself up for another interface will include a new boatload of options, especially around UX. It feels like Launchbox is trying to be everything for everyone without having its own identity. Sometimes less is more.
