Webm (Steam) videos won't play

LaunchBox 7.10 Windows 10 Occurs: 100% of the time

All 20+ of the Steam trailer videos I have have this issue, but other videos do not. What I noticed that all the Steam videos have in common is that they're webm format. The issue is as follows:

In BigBox, if Windows Media player is selected, these videos won't play at all. Not in the interface and not when I select open video fullscreen. If I switch to VLC, the videos play fine as a thumbnail in the interface, but when I select open video fullscreen, I get a black screen. No audio or video, but I can cancel out of fine. I will not that the thumbnail video at this point has paused, but can be resumed by selecting play video.
