Backup feature and linking to zip file\exe

Issue #3531 new

I've finally found a launcher I'm happy with, but it's missing one critical feature. A backup option and linking to zip\7zip\exe files to execute an install or loading from a backup.

I have hundreds of games, a lot of hard drive space that I'm not afraid of using, and I don't trust online services to keep my data or games safe for me. What I want is a way to backup my products and store them conveniently on my local hard drives. There's no GUI client where I can set it, have it automatically populate all the games I have, and it wouldn't recognize individual zip files either. With LaunchBox connected to a games database, that takes care of most of the problems, but there's no gaming backup feature.

What I want it to do is recognize a game, recognize if it's able to be backed up or linked to a file. Then either script it to unload the zipped file to a games directory, execute the installer exe, or if the game is already installed, set it to backup to a certain drive with certain compression values for 7zip to use (maybe even a redundancy option for more folders). This along with the option to add more folders for save games depending where they are on the system. It could use the database or PC Gaming Wiki for reading where the save games probably are on the system and check to see if it's there.

Sorry. Forgot to put in [Feature Request] in the header until I saw the other Issues and I can't edit it. I'm not used to Bitbucket.
