Excluding Filetypes for ROM folders
I've browsed for the forums and found some workaround when adding games, but I think there's still missing a proper solution:
- CD-Based games often have .cue and .bin files
- Importing these imports ALL of these files whereas only the .cue is needed.
- The workaround: Import games by files and only select the .cue files.
- Then change the directory to where your ROMs are (so you can use useful features like "Scan for Added ROMS).
- The problem: Whenever you choose "Scan for Added ROMS", all files are scanned in that directory - not only the .cue files...
So a proper include / exclude system would be very useful here :)

Umm... did you completely read my post above - or did I miss the function I'm looking for...?
I know about that "workaround" - the problem is: "Scan for Added ROMS" will add the bin files on next scan. So if I want to update the romlists for all systems I have, I can't use that function but have to readd the new ones all manually per system.

Oh, sorry. I guess I must have skimmed through it. :)

EvilDragon, this probably won't work for you, but it works for me so I'll just throw it out there. I zip all my cue/bins so its just 1 file. If the emulator you are using supports zip, then fixed, if not select unzip first on the emulator settings. It may take a bit for say a DVD size cue/bin to unzip, but if you are just talking about CD based games, its relatively quick. I don't think that it makes sense though for them to overly kludge the scan feature, at least where rom management could fix the issue.

When you import ROMs, choose 'select files' instead, and in the upper righthand box, type *.cue - after the list is generated, press ctrl+A to select them all.
